Hey everyone!
I just wanted to give a quick shout out and congrats to The Last Ember artist Federico Sabbatini. For this:
Check out that third name in the credits up there in the top left! That's Federico!
Congrats! We're all so happy for you, man!
I told you all recently that Federico was doing Marvel work. Well, Spider-Man was the first thing he got to work on! How cool is that?!
This came out in stores TODAY so go pick up your copy!
And to keep you all updated, Rob is starting letters THIS WEEK! So it really won't be long now!

Colors Are DONE!

Hey all!
Andrea sent me the last three colored pages today, which look FANTASTIC!
Which means...
THE COLORS ARE DONE!
Here are a couple of clips from them:
I'm so excited to have all the finished art!
Now, this week I'll be sending these over to Rob to letter them.
Once he finishes, we'll get the book compiled and sent off to the printer!
Thanks again for your patience, it won't be long now!
PNEUMATIC CASES
In the meantime, we do have the third issue of Pneumatic Cases live right now.
It was funded in 48 hours and we just added Stretch Goals this morning!

Inks Are Done!

Hey everyone!
Federico is a beast!
Even while working on his first Marvel gig (Which, according to Federico's Facebook page, his editor loved!), he continued to work on Ember and has now completed the inks!
So his part of this issue is DONE!
As I mentioned in the comments of the last update, Andrea is knocking out colored pages left and right as well. He sent me 3 pages the other day and now has colored 12 pages of the issue, meaning only 8 pages to go!
And as I mentioned last time, Rob Leigh (who just killed it on the new Green Lantern #1 from DC) is ready to go on the lettering as well.
I said last time we were getting close, and we just keep rolling along at a great pace now! If all goes well, we are likely looking at May fulfillment!
In the meantime, I will be sending out other digital rewards soon while you wait! So watch your messages!
While I have you, I'd love for you to check out a friend of mine's current campaign:
This is Anthony Christou's 12th successful campaign as he continues to build up the Luminous Ages world he has carefully crafted. He describes this one as "Night at the Museum" meets "Lord of the Rings," which sounds pretty darn fun to me!
There's even an additional section at the back of the book featuring short tales set in the world by other creators like Russell Nohelty!
It was funded in 5 days and has (so far) unlocked 5 stretch goals! And he just announced a new stretch goal to unlock a puzzle featuring his art. I've gotten a sneak peek and it looks great!

Getting Close!

Hello! And Happy Easter to those that celebrate!
As it has been a month since my last update, it seems some of you are eager to get an update on the progress of the book. I know we're slightly behind schedule, but I assure you we are almost there!
Federico sent me that image above this morning. That is one of the last two pages he has left to ink!
As I mentioned before, he landed a Marvel gig that had to take priority for a little bit, but he still kept churning out Ember through that, to which I'm very thankful!
As for colors, those two pages above are the latest Andrea has sent. To date, he has colored about 9 pages in total, so nearly half the book!
Finally, our new letterer, Rob Leigh (Teen Titans Academy) is waiting in the wings ready to do his part on the book as well!
As we get closer to completion I'll definitely keep you all in the loop.
Meanwhile...
...we DO have another launch coming up soon for my friend's series, Pneumatic Cases #1-3. That 3rd issue will be completely done and ready to go to the printer as the campaign ends! We are wrapping up coloring and lettering on it now so that as much as possible will be done when we launch in a couple of weeks!
Ideally, I'd love to have Ember at the printer at the very least, but that will all depend on how fast we can complete the coloring and lettering.
Either way, I hope you check out PC and can hold out just a little longer for Ember!

New Pages!

We're moving right along on this issue. Here are a couple more issues inked by Federico:
Federico has been sending me occasional WIP pieces as well, which just gets me even more excited!
With these two pages, that means over half the issue is now inked, a fourth of it colored!
So we're getting there!
Here are a couple of campaigns I'd like to highlight. This one by my friend Phil is launching on Monday (March 8th), so be sure to follow it so you know when it goes live!
